Joanna is a graduate of West Virginia University and has served with Distinct for nine years. During her time at the agency, she has been part copywriter, part graphic designer and part manager. She is charged with organizing client deliverables and moderating daily staff meetings. With Joanna’s copywriting, layout skills and attention to detail, she develops brand image campaigns that showcase our clients’ best qualities.
Scott has been a newspaper reporter in Charleston, WV, and Washington, DC, directed public affairs for both a governor and a United States congressman, and served as internet marketing director with the U.S. space agency. He has held communications executive positions with four universities and several technology companies and advertising agencies. He is adjunct professor of English and Speech Communications at both Fairmont State University and Garrett College. His writing appears regularly in the State Journal newspaper. Scott holds a master’s degree in Public Relations from Marshall University and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from West Virginia University.
Chad has more than 19 years in the creative industry and has worked for ad agencies serving the nation’s largest metropolitan areas. He previously worked for agencies developing campaigns for such clients as Hard Rock Hotel & Casinos, Trump Casinos, St. Barnabas Health Care Systems, Trib Total Media and Tropicana Resort and Casino. In addition to being Distinct’s Chief Creative Officer, he is also a Partner. He is an alumnus of West Virginia University and holds a master’s degree in Public Relations and Graphic Design. Chad leads the creative team in developing strategic, award-winning promotional campaigns.
Mellissa has been working with advertising agencies and video production companies for 20 years. Her training as a stylist for television and special effects makeup has put her in demand for many companies. Her insight on creative production and attention to detail while on set are crucial to any project. Her work alongside many creative professionals throughout her career has given her unique comprehension for brand personality and vision.
Lori has served in advertising sales leadership for more than 25 years, adapting seamlessly to a dramatically changing marketing landscape across broadcast, print and online platforms. Lori possesses special expertise in driving messages to the most relevant audiences. Her passion for numbers and strategic focus provides timely, quantifiable results for Distinct’s clients. Lori establishes realistic expectations based upon each client’s respective budget and delivers successful, cost-effective advertising campaigns.
Carroll brings more than 35 years of experience with some of the biggest names in the newspaper and television industries. He possesses a deep history of brand-building expertise with such media leaders as the Baltimore Sun, the Chicago Tribune and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. He also served as vice president of operations with Comcast Corporation. Carroll knows what it takes to get noticed in large metro markets and regularly achieves such goals for Distinct’s clients.
Todd is a graduate of Fairmont State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Design and Journalism. For more than 20 years, he has spearheaded the design and development efforts for advertising agencies and customer relationship management organizations. Todd has produced effective, award-winning creative for such luminous clients as Coca-Cola, John Deere, Kellogg’s, Mobil, US Army, Nextel and Chevron. His technical expertise and vast experience in marketing design and development serves Distinct’s diverse clientele with quality, successful productions, including websites, CRM software and applied multimedia tools. In today’s digitally-driven marketing world, Todd’s certification as a Google Partner and his passion for online marketing provides our clients with unparalleled expertise for their campaigns.
George Wohlford has more than 25 years experience in sales, marketing, operations, corporate management with profit and loss responsibility across a wide variety of industries. He has been responsible for account services for multiple Fortune 500 companies, government agencies small and medium-sized businesses in the fields of scientific equipment, pharmaceutical testing instrumentation, biotechnology, medical supplies, management software, apparel, home hardware, and digital presence. George holds bachelor’s degrees in both Liberal Arts and Biology from West Virginia University.
Zach earned a bachelor’s degree in Video Effects and Motion Graphics from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. His talents as a creative professional include motion graphics, videography, all types linear editing and production. In addition to these skills, he’s an FAA-certified drone pilot whose remarkable aerial video is changing perspectives for many of our clients. Zach possesses 12 years of ad agency experience and joined Distinct in 2010.
